Biography of Christopher Cross
Christopher Cross (born Christopher Charles Geppert) An American singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas who born May 3rd, 1951.
He is best known for some famous songs, "Ride Like the Wind", "Sailing", and "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)", "Ride Like the Wind" covered by many musicians, also featuring some famous musicians. At 2013, "Ride Like the Wind" recorded in Anchorman 2 sound track too. This song is famous also featuring with Michael McDonald (Background vocal). "Sailing" is no need explain, very famous beautiful song. Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) recorded for original film “Arthur” (1981 Dudley Moore Version). As soon as his self-titled debut album, “Christopher Cross”, in 1979, several songs ranked in top 20 of The Billboard Hot 100. "Ride Like the Wind" (featuring backing vocals by Michael McDonald), "Sailing", "Never Be the Same" , and "Say You'll Be Mine" (featuring backing vocals by Nicolette Larson). Due to this kicked start, he got great success immediately. He also made Grammy history by winning all four General Field Grammy awards in the same year. His great record is still not broken (March 2015). He also won a fifth for Best Arrangement. This award sharing with producer Michael Omartian and listed as "arrangers" for the song "Sailing." In this year, he won the Oscar and Golden Globe Award by "Arthur's Theme" too. These brilliant achievements will be left for many years.
